Every Lenten Acclamation • Set to Kyrie ‘Orbis Factor’ (Free Score)
Today I was reading on a sacred music forum, and someone asked if anyone had arranged the lenten gospel acclamation texts to the melody of the Kyrie from Mass XI, a.k.a.–Missa Orbis Factor. In the absence of any other responses, and since this was such a fantastic idea, I’ve whipped them up, and offer them free-of-charge to all of you. Feel free to use/share!
PS—when you point the verses to these acclamations, they should be in Mode 1, according to this chart.
PS—Here is an example of what Option i sounds like when fully harmonized. (Such a harmonization could be applied to any of the aforementioned options.)
