FREE SCORE: Psalm 40 “Here am I, Lord; I come to do Your will.”

I’ll cut right to the chase: please enjoy a free setting of Psalm 40, which is set to the melody of the famous Tone 8 Magnificat. It is simple and straightforward, and is a great way to introduce a parish to the sound of chanted formulæ.

Considering the very straightforward and commonplace nature of psalm tones, I did not seem necessary to notate organ accompaniment for the verses—especially considering they could be chanted a cappella. I leave the accompaniment (or lack thereof) to the discretion of each music minister.
