Last minute Christmas Psalms
If you are a music director / cantor looking for some last-minute Christmas psalms, I’d like to present three offerings for consideration.
With an eye toward the fact that Christmas is typically a time to welcome [back] visitors to the parish, these offerings are different from my recent chant-based work which have a different sort of appeal. Rather, these are peppy (Midnight) and two are based on well-known Christmas hymns (Vigil and Mass during the Day). So without further ado:
Vigil Mass: Psalm 89
