New Lenten Gospel Acclamation

Everyone knows you “can’t say ‘alleluia’ during Lent!” What is lesser known is the fact that there are multiple options for gospel acclamations during Lent. One such option is “Marvelous and great are Your works, O Lord!”.

I have written a new setting of this text, which is based on Oportet te, fili gaudere (“You should rejoice, my son…”) which is an optionally prescribed Communion Antiphon for the 4th Sunday of Lent (a.k.a. “Lætare Sunday”).

Short and to the point, this setting is a bit of an ear worm, and works very well a cappella. As always, a series of comprehensive practice tracks are available here. Click the button below to order your copy today.
