Our Lady’s Expectation (Like the Dawning)

In honor of the Solemnity of the Annunciation today, I’m pleased to share my engraving of the hymn Our Lady’s Expectation (a.k.a. “Like the Dawning”). While traditionally sung in late Advent or even Christmas Eve / Day, this hymn is an excellent choice for the Annunciation. The music was composed by Fr. Selner, to whom I am personally greatly indebted.
