6th Sunday in Ordinary Time

(2022)

Greetings all—
As discussed on Wednesday, this weekend will be slightly different from normal in that we will be singing the text of the St. Michæl prayer as a hymn at the end of Mass, rather than doing our typical byzantine chant version before Mass. That said, here is the rest of our ordo:

  • Ordinary: Olbash

  • Entrance Antiphon Hymn Tune: ST. ANNE
(SATB and BASS Solo mp3s below)

  • Entrance Antiphon: Fr. Weber 1067

  • Psalm 1 “Blessèd are they who hope in the Lord!
(SATB & Melody only versions below)

  • Gospel Acclamation: Alleluia V

  • Offertory Hymn: Offertory Antiphon Text, sung to the tune of SLANE
(a.k.a. “Be Thou My Vision”; melody, and bass solo versions below)

  • Communion Motet: Humbly I Adore Thee by Liam McDonough
(We will do 2 verses of the chant.)

  • Communion Hymn: My God, Accept My Heart This Day, Sung to the tune ST. COLUMBA (a.k.a. – The King of Love My Shepherd Is)

  • Recessional Hymn: O Glorious St. Michæl, to the tune ELLACOMBE (recordings below).
