Solemnity of Christ the King (C • 2022)

Hi Friends,

Now that I’m finally starting to get back on my work feet, I’m once again able to provide you with a comprehensive ordo posted here.

  • Entrance Antiphon Hymn: Worthy is the Lamb once slain to the tune of SALZBURG.

  • Entrance Antiphon: Fr. Weber #1799

  • Psalm 122 (A) “Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord!” [Playlist]

  • Festal Alleluia (a.k.a. Gospel Acclamation for the Feast of Christ the King )

  • Offertory Hymn: Crown Him with Many Crowns!

  • Communion Antiphon: Sedebit Dominus Rex

  • Communion Motet: Jesu Rex Admirabilis

  • Communion Hymn: Laudate Dominum (based on the gospel acclamation)


[At the 4:30 & 7:30 Masses we will have the recessional hymn, Oh, Worship the King, sung to the tune of Parry’s Laudate Dominum.]

  • ***At the end of Mass we will chant the Laudes Regiæ (a.k.a. “Christus Vincit”) [11am only].
    I apologize that I forgot to go over this with you on Wednesday; we have sung this multiple times in the past, however, so we will go over it Sunday morning and all will be well. It will be co-cantored by Father Royce and myself, and you will lead the congregation in the responses.
