33rd in Ordinary Time (C • 2025)
Greetings all—
Here is our ordo for Sunday. NB: one difference this week is that we will sing our choral anthem (the Davies De Profundis) during the offertory, since it is the offertory antiphon of the day.
I am also adding a “look ahead” section at the bottom that has some of our special things for Christ the King and Advent I.
Pax,
J

Dedication of the Lateran Basilica
Greetings All,
Thanks for yet another wonderful rehearsal on Thursday! I’m so pleased that we made good progress on some of the bigger rep that we are tackling. Below are our Ordo & resources for this Sunday, the Feast of the Dedication of the Lateran Basilica.
Fun fact: did you know that St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome is not the pope’s cathedral? It’s true! The Lateran Basilica is actually where the pope’s Cathedra is located, so it is technically the seat of his diocese. This is the true Papal Cathedral, which is why it is a universal Feast day that trumps a Sunday; in effect, it is the “Cathedral of all cathedrals”.

Mass for Deceased Clergy & Religious (2025)
Greetings All—
I’m opening up the Mass for Deceased Clergy & Religious to everyone who might like to participate (regular & diocesan choir).
Mass is Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 4pm.
Considering the unusual time, I’m not expecting many people to be able to make it, but I’m happy to have whoever may wish to join, and perhaps a small group of us could bolster the chanting & responses.
Please let me know you’re coming via the following form, so I can prepare the correct number of scores.
Below the form you will find our complete ordo and practice materials. (For St. A’s choir members, there is significant overlap with our Sunday repertoire.)

All Souls (Sunday, 2025)
Hi friends,
Thanks again for an excellent rehearsal again. We had a lot to get through, and I’m so glad we did. Also, a special welcome to Cecilia (Soprano) and Keziah (Alto)!
For those of you who didn’t make it to rehearsal, there are a few extra bits and bobs for Sunday (notably, Exaltabo Te, Domine ) that you’ll want to make sure you’re prepared for, or just sit out.
Switching gears, we have the Mass for Deceased Clergy this coming Wednesday at 4pm. You are not required to sing, but I would be happy to have any/everyone who could be there and would like to sing. If you can be there, please let me know so I can prepare some scores for you. I will make a separate blog post with those selections for interested parties.
Now without further ado, here’s our Sunday Ordo:
