Free Transcription: Lent II Offertory Antiphon

Some people love square notes, and some people don’t… and for those who either don’t, or are still getting used to them, here’s a handy free transcription of the Lent II offertory antiphon, Meditabor in mandatis tuis.

A Note on Interpretation:

This recording employs the “pulsing” technique whereby repeated puncti are lightly pulsed to help the singer learn to properly count. While such singing is an æsthetic unto itself, the editor believes this type of chanting is best for scholæ as a transitional method of learning the chant. Solo chanters or more advanced groups who are capable of singing without the rearticulations are encouraged to do so.
