Greetings All—
I’m sorry that I couldn’t get our ordo out in time for normal choir rehearsal time. I had some significant computer troubles today. Nevertheless, here it is, and better late than never!
This week will be a fun week of good “warhorse” hymns. Two melodies will either be new or less familiar, and I will be sure to point those out below. (But they are Oooooh so lovely! — we only have two more weeks to sneak in some fun ones before Lent starts!)

Recessional Hymn: Love Divine, All Loves Excelling to the tune BLÆNWERN.

The first video is it’s original context, although we are singing an alternate text:
And here is an organ-only version which might be a little easier to learn from:
Our text:
Communion Antiphon:
NB: the rhythms displayed in this image have been slightly altered from their original form to suit a more pleasing interpretation.
Communion Motet:
I’m going to reproduce the CMAA practice tracks for Cantate Domino by Pitoni here. The source documents are all found here.
Below is a nice rendition, although we will sing it through twice.
Communion Hymn:
Recessional Hymn: (NEW!…ish)
(We’ve done this before, but it’s been a minute.)
Lenten Lookahead:
The Lotti Miserere track (above) is organ-only, but there are time stamps to hear your part at a louder volume. I intend to make a proper PT of this, time permitting.

Greetings all—
Again, I must thank you all for the tremendous amount of effort you have put in the last few weeks!
Here is our ordo for Epiphany; we will once again keep things on the simpler side this year since so many things occurred in such rapid succession and we did not have a dedicated rehearsal this week.

Recessional Hymn: Songs of Thankfulness and Praise (SALZBURG)
A quick note on the Psalm: this is written with an oriental flair, and features copious parallel intervals which only work well when each part is sung with a certain vigor. Please make sure you are comfortable with your parts, and don’t be afraid to lean in during the deliberate moments where there are crunchy chords.
Offertory:

Communion Anthem: Puer Natus in Bethlehem
(same as Surrexit Christus Hodie, but with alternate text)
