Cunctipotens Genitor • S.A.Bar. Kyrie Trope • FREE DOWNLOAD

$0.00

Available as a free download, this Kyrie trope is wonderfully medieval in flavor and pairs beautiful invocations to the Kyrie text:

"Almighty Father, God, Creator of all things: have mercy upon us. O Christ, the splendor of God, strength and wisdom of the Father: have mercy upon us. O Sacred Breath of Both: have mercy upon us."

Woven throughout in the texture is the melody of the Kyrie from Missa IV "Cunctipotens Genitor Deus".

Notated in a transitional stem-less style, reminiscent of plainchant. (Black notes are standard, white notes are “long” notes.) Sung according to the natural rhythm of speech.

The PDF offered with this download differs slightly from the recording in that optional translated invocations sung by a cantor may precede the SABar passages.
