This motet is based on / distilled from the traditional Gregorian Communion Antiphon for the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, “Omnes qui in Christo baptizati”.
Hawk-eyed singers will notice that the incipit, melisma of “Christum” and the “alleluia” are all outlined in the motet, which seamlessly blends with optional verses which can be taken from Communio.
The original antiphon and 3 verses are all provided (in square notes) and the antiphon can optionally be chanted before/after the motet is sung.
